Do you wave at other Stinger drivers?

Haven't seen one...though supposedly there are others in Edmonton.

Kia Stinger Hatch/Trunk Rattle TSB With New Parts

So.. I had no rattling, they did the TSB anyway, and now it rattles like crazy. I've tried silicone grease, various pieces of foam tape, etc. The only thing that works is turning out the bumpers until they are about to fall out. From what I can tell, it's the latch making the noise. #FFS

    HUD Not Working Mystery Solved

The suggestion to rotate the HUD image as a solution to this is just an April fool's joke right? Clearly that's not going to do anything here... The simple solution is to wear non polarized sunglasses. The light being polarized is a side effect of bouncing it off the windscreen. Not much you...

What Did You Do With Your Stinger Today?

Meh. The headlights worked fine as far as I was concerned. Likely to do with thesteering angle turning and auto levelling logic. Not worth a special trip.

What Did You Do With Your Stinger Today?

Got the rear hatch rattle TSB done. Seems to have fixed it. They also did some other TSB involving the headlight logic? But it was unclear to me whether this was new or it was old and had already been done and they did nothing.

What Did You Do With Your Stinger Today?

Yes, there are holes for the guide posts both front and rear. It would be nice if the new badges had guide posts too since there is no reference for placement if you don't make some marks on tape.

What Did You Do With Your Stinger Today?

Installed my new badges front and rear. An automotive trim plastic tool set along with wedges came in handy. Goo Gone and plastic razor blades are a necessity. Pro tip: mark out the center line and edge of the OEM badge on painters tape with a pencil and cover it with a second layer and expose...

    Subwoofers not working?

Ok.. turns out they ARE working. It's just that they only respond at very low frequencies... Like 70 hz to 30 hz. They seem to respond most strongly at 50 hz. I ran some audio tests in the car and it turns out the system has well tuned cross overs. The subs don't respond to 80 hz and up and the...

    Subwoofers not working?

Does anyone else suspect that the two subwoofers under the front seats are not working at all? I was listening to and feeling them for air movement and I feel no air movement nor hear any sound from them at all. I checked the two multimedia fuses in the kick panel and the two amp fuses in the...

Yes, yes I did. That's the side with the PCV vent tubes. Definitely going to look at a catch can on that...

What Did You Do With Your Stinger Today?

On the Legacy GT forums, threads like this are active with people discussing the latest things they've done without the need of a separate thread. I have found it to be an interesting way to figure out some cool mods and to see what other members are up to. I'll start: Today I installed my K...

What going to be your first Kia Stinger mod?

K & N intake is on it's way right now. Intake won't make any real power... Just worth the glorious induction sounds. New badges also on the way. Changed my oil and quickly determined that a fumoto valve is required to not make a huge mess... Got that sitting in the garage. Replaced the wipers...

    Shifting into Manual Mode

Sorry, but that's literally the point of the different modes: to behave differently. It's perfectly logical. The 2007 Infiniti G35x sedan I had behaved exactly the same.

    Shifting into Manual Mode

That sounds strange. For me, if the transmission is in sport mode then it stays in manual mode once you hit a paddle unless you come to a stop. From a stop, if you hit up, it will launch in 2nd gear and if you hit down it'll go into 1. 100% of the time it behaves the same. You are sure you...

Differences between AWD Eco, Comfort, and Sport modes

Yeah... The concept of a snow mode is more or less the reason for my original question. I've been using custom mode and experimenting with the three AWD settings and Sport is definitely not ideal in snow/ice. Comfort seems best. The car is very good in snow. Don't get me wrong. Previously I had...

Differences between AWD Eco, Comfort, and Sport modes

There is no button. It's a knob that you turn, so don't think this is the case. There is no mention of ansnie mode in the manual in the parts about winter driving.

Differences between AWD Eco, Comfort, and Sport modes

What do you mean until there is slippage? There is always slippage in the snow when driving a 365 HP car. It definitely matters a lot.

How many people have received a thumbs up from other drivers on the road?

Yup. A guy at a car wash was drooling over it so much I had to give it an extra rinse. Had a crowd around it in the home Depot parking lot the other day. A guy in a Honda taking photos as I passed on the highway yesterday, etc...
