    Kia Stinger Magnaflow Exhaust

Thanks for all of this! I've had Magnaflow products before and, while sometimes the fitment needs a bit of persuasion, they've always delivered on performance and sound. Will there be any dyno charts for this exhaust? Also, you mentioned another version may be in the works - any chance of an...

What are some of the quirks, features, issues you hate most about your Stinger?

Not at all! We don't get the winds off the lake like they do, but we get the temps and our own nasty winds. I was driving the thing in 17 degree below zero temps as well as many very bitter days. I'd use it to start to get the seat warm and then shut it off.

What are some of the quirks, features, issues you hate most about your Stinger?

I don't like really hot heat seaters and find I have to turn mine down, if not off. My wife, who loves the things, praises the ones in my GT. Perhaps you should mention it to your service writer.

What oil type is going in your Kia Stinger? Synthetic, Synthetic Blend or Regular Oil?

Spoke with my tech since I posted this. He reminded me what the parts department charges for synthetic oil. So I'll be bringing my own. Happy to default to Mobil 1 as I've used it in many vehicles. But just wondering, with some of the new oil tech from top brands, whether there's something else...

What going to be your first Kia Stinger mod?

I'll wait for independent dyno comparisons, hopefully with stock exhaust and an aftermarket exhaust, as well.

What are some of the quirks, features, issues you hate most about your Stinger?

Can say that the FM reception fades volume level and that I'm not the only owner who's noticed this. I'm certain it will get fixed.

OEM All Weather floor mats any good?

Through the dealership. I can't recall whether they were in the next day or if it took two, sorry.

    That. Rocks.

OEM All Weather floor mats any good?

They look good, work well, but don't have a large outer lip like the WeatherTechs on my wife's Acura. Having driven my Stinger since mid-December in an Illinois winter, there is a white stain on the trans tunnel next to the accelerator pedal and a little but of same at the sill.

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

    I don't think a cutout's legal in the U.S. anywhere, is it?

Greddy Korea intakes and BOV for the 2.0T and 3.3T Stingers

Without multiple IAT sensors in place and being logged, this is all academic discussion with no real-world answers on individual intake efficiency of inlet air temp.

The Piggyback Chip feedback, reviews, issues, diagnostic and questions thread

Perhaps this answers your question more completely: the chips being sold for the Stinger (2.0 & 3.3) have been out for years and used on other cars. LAP3 supposedly tested it's application on the Stinger. They are not specifically for the Stinger.

    Excess road noise?

I've not heard anything like that. But I'll try to pay more attention in the future.

What's your Active Engine Sound preference?

I've left it on enhanced for now.

Differences between AWD Eco, Comfort, and Sport modes

C&D claims it's brake-based torque vectoring and that both the front and rear diffs are open. If so, when it detects a wheel spinning it will apply brakes to the spinning wheel, front, rear, or both, left, right, or both. As far as the front/rear split, that IS an electronically controlled...

FM Radio Reception - Comes and Goes?

First, depending solely on the "fin" antenna on the roof would be a terrible decision. I'm sure Kia's not done that. Second, I don't need to go through an stand of forest or skyscraper-laden skyline to have the signal come and go. It can do it going down a flat, field-borderd, deserted two-lane.
